TT: The Future is Now

Raven woke up with the sun shining right in her face. She was exhausted after fighting the Hive 5 at 4 o’ clock in the morning and just wanted to get some rest. After about 15 minutes she reluctantly got out of bed. The bright light was too much to bear. As she put on her shoes and cloak she thought to herself ‘If I wasn’t this irritable this might be a good day’ as she stepped outside her door she saw something green walking into her.  She fell to the floor with a ‘THUD’ and looked up to see Beastboy looking down at her apologetically.

“Heh, sorry Raven. I didn’t see you there. You okay?” Beastboy held his hand out to help her up. She ignored this and got up on her own her eyes glowing read as she approached Beastboy. “I can see you’re not a morning person.” Beastboy said nervously. “How could you tell?” She replied sarcastically. As Beastboy ran around the corner, Raven thought ‘I don’t think I’ll ever get used to him.’

As Raven walked towards the kitchen she saw the regular routine. Robin and Starfire were talking casually over breakfast; Cyborg was watching TV with Beastboy. (Who joined him shortly before Raven appeared.) Raven walked over to pour herself some herbal tea.

Robin looked over to her and said. “Hey Raven, you hungry? Cyborg made some waffles and eggs.”
Raven just replied “What, no tofu? Beastboy must be starving.” Beastboy lifted his head over the couch and shouted back “Hey, I said I was sorry. What is your deal?”
“Like you said I’m not a morning person.” Cyborg, Starfire, and Robin stared at them in confusion. “Uh am I missing something?” Cyborg asked the others.
“Beastboy appears to have angered Raven” Starfire perked up.
Cyborgs response was “Pfhh what else is new. I think I’ve only ever seen those two get along once.” (He refers to the ep.  Nevermore, when Beastboy and Cyborg were transported into Ravens mind). The alarm went off.

“Trouble!” shouted Robin

At the natural history museum:

A large, white elliptical vortex appeared in the middle of the room. A very familiar face appeared once again. Dressed in a golden suit and a black goatee was… “Warp!” Robin had shouted when the titans arrived at the museum.
“Not back for that old clock again are you?”

“Well, history did say that it disappeared. I am hoping that none of you will delay my time to steal it any longer.” Warp said as he shot an angry glance at Starfire.

“Titans GO!” They sprung into action. Robin threw his energy discs at Warp but they were merely cut in half as Warp threw his own at them. “Azarath Metrion Zinthos!” dark energy hands encircled warp but his force field shocked Raven and she fell to on top of a green lion that was about to attack. Beastboy put Raven down to make sure she was okay. “Raven?” She woke up moved Beastboy aside to avoid an incoming Starfire. Cyborg shot his cannon at Warp’s force field but the sonic beam was deflected to the ceiling. As the building began to shake Starfire lunged at Warp just as before (in the ep. How long is forever) only she caught him and ripped off the white time clock that powered the suit.

“DON’T IF YOU DAMAGE THAT, THE EFFECTS ARE…” Warp shouted but it was too late. Starfire had broken the white clock in half. Another vortex opened and sucked them all in. As Warp tumbled through, the vortex closed behind them. The titans struggled to stay together. Raven shouted “Azarath Metrion Zinthos!” in an attempt to bring them all back but they found themselves entering another black vortex and before they knew it they were falling from the sky onto the grass. They looked up as if they were on a daze. They surveyed their surrounding and found themselves outside Titans Tower.

“Are we back?” Beastboy asked. When they got to the door Cyborg tried to open it  using their present incription keys but the tower rejected them. Cyborg tried to open it with past incription keys but the tower continued to deny them entry. Starfire pushed the door wide open. They all flinched as they heard the alarm go off. They all stumbled inside and were about to head towards the control panel to shut off the alarm but realized that the alarm had stopped  immediately. Everyone looked at one another in confusion until they turned around and gaped at the scene. There they saw an aged Robin, Starfire, Raven and Beastboy. “Right on time” Said the aged Robin looking at his watch.
