TT: The Future is Now pg 4

As the titans rushed out the door. Rae turned back and said. “I think you guys should stay here. You know we’ve fought these guys before, we can take ‘em.”

“Yeah and if they find out that you’re us from the past and they hurt you, it’ll hurt us too. Cy already yelled at me once to not mess up the time space continuum.” Garfield said.

“Okay you don’t have to rub in the fact that you’re smart.” Cyborg retorted. They could barely hear Garfield shout back down the hall “YOU CAN CHECK OUT YOUR ROOMS IF YOU LIKE!” The answer that they all wanted to ask had been answered. They were all eager to see what became of their old rooms.

Starfire walked into hers and found that she’s gonna be just as neat as she is now. The only thing that was different was Silkie who had transformed into a 3 foot long butterfly. She flew up to hug the little creature in greeting. Cyborg walked in and cried at what he saw. He had the uninvented-in-his-time-yet, Game Station 6. He ran over and hugged it “Like I said I LOVE the future!” Robins room was almost completely different. His bed had been moved away from the window and there were book shelves containing countless notebooks on all the missions they’ve been on. He sat down on his bed and read through them.

Beastboy opened his door and to his surprise his bunk bed was still there. I guess he hadn’t completely outgrown his immaturity. He sat down and looked at his walls. It took him a couple seconds for him to realize that his walls were covered with pictures. He also wrote above each photo. He found the pictures he took of everyone on their way to Tokyo. He laughed at the picture when he picked Raven’s nose. His smile faded away when he looked up to see the wall of pictures that he must’ve taken on his first date with Raven. He stared at them concentrating hard to find out where they were. It wasn’t until he looked on the back of one of them that he realized that they were in Venice, Italy. That explained why he was wearing a beret. He looked at the date and nearly fainted the date read. May 18, 2023. He checked behind his shoulder to where he usually kept the calendar. It was still there and May 18th  2023 That’s TOMORROW. HOW IS HE GOING TO ASK RAVEN OUT ON A DATE TO ITALY BY TOMORROW. NOT TO MENTION TELL HER HOW HE REALLY FEELS ABOUT HER!!!!!!

Raven lie awake on her bed thinking over what had just happened. “Kids, married to Beastboy this is way too overwhelming” she said to herself. “I don’t even like Beastboy. Do I? No, no he’s just a friend. If he’s just a friend then why am I feeling this way. Maybe I….. maybe……I…” she stopped talking to herself. There was a knock on her door. She thought it may be Rae back from the mission. Then a far to familiar voice came from the door.
“Raven? It’s me. look. I need to talk to you, alone.” Beastboy’s voice sounded shaky, he really was nervous. He didn’t know what would happen, not to mention that she was pissed off at him this morning. He would apologize for yelling at her. She opened the door and said “What’s wrong?”
“Oh, nothing I just really need to talk to you. Can I come in?” Raven was much less hesitant than she thought she was going to be. She welcomed him in. He looked around at her bookshelves, chests, and scrolls and then his eyes found the hand mirror that was the portal into Raven’s mind. He thought to himself ‘never go back there.’ Then he looked and found a rose that appeared to be in an enchanted vase. He did not know what it was for and he dare not ask. Raven may not know either or it my be private. Once Raven was seated on her bed he sat next to her, blushing slightly.
He handed her a picture and said “This was something I found in my room. It’s what happened on our first date.” She took the picture and observed it closely. She and Beastboy were on a boat kissing. He was wearing a red beret and the picture was signed in the corner by both of them. “Why did you need to tell me this? I mean this is a long way off….isn’t it?” She asked.

Beastboy said “Flip it over and read the date” she did as he instructed and her eyes opened wide with astonishment. “So that means that tomorrow….and now that’s why you’re.”

“Yes” Beastboy said calmly. He got down on one knee, he didn’t know why, he wanted to be as romantic and formal as possible. After all he had been in love with Raven for several years, she deserved a romantic night with no stupid jokes.
“Raven with you go out on a date with me to Italy tomorrow?”
